Before/After Old time vanity
This image gives me a mixed feeling. This exact vintage dresser/vanity is something I see on craigslist ALL THE TIME( like the one above, is on my local craigslist, mostly for under $25, they are usually the original wood, and hideous, so seeing it all fresh in white makes me give it a new appreciation, although I doubt I'll go buy one. I do love a big mirror though...(image from Domino Mag)

I actually have a vanity very similar to that one. Can I make a few suggestions? They usually are real wood with venear over them. I know mine was well cared for for the most part however the veneer is already buckling. Check out undersides, especially in the middle. Also, my chair had to be redone a million times because it keeps getting more and more wobbly.

ReplyDeleteI love this look! Do you sand it first and then paint with what kind of paint? Ohhh and do you have advice on making wood look antiqued?
