ReplyDeleteThe best thing that happened to me in 2009 was my nephew being born in October. I was also asked to be his Godmother which I am totally excited about.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing that happened to me was getting pregnant after 3 years of trying, 2 surgeries and finally one round of IVF treatment--all this and we have our miracle little boy growing inside of me!

ReplyDeleteThe best thing to happen to me in 2009 is my sister and my mom moving from CA to live with us in MD until 2012 when my husband gets out of the military - I LOVE having them here!

ReplyDeleteBest thing of 2009? My mom's scans for cancer have consistently been coming back clear! That is the best thing of the decade in my book!
The best thing that happened to me in 2009 was having my husband come home after a one year deployment to Korea. Being separated from him for such a long time was one of the hardest things my children and I have ever had to go through. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder!!

ReplyDeleteThe best thing that happened to me was being laid off!! I was miserable, and although it took me some time to realize it, it was incredibly good for me and my well-being to not work there. Now I go to school full time and couldn't be happier!!

ReplyDelete2009 was a year of changes for me! Gradauted with my MBA, got married and moved out of the state I'd lived in for more than 20 years to start a new chapter in my life with my husband!
ReplyDelete2009 was a rough year for many (especially us); however the absolute BEST THING EVER happened to me this year and that was meeting the love of my life!!! We have both relocated to SC for his job and to start our life together (hopefully a little bling bling will be in my future for 2010)!!!

ReplyDeleteI am a follower! The best thing of 09 was all the trips I got to go on this year. I went to Las Vegas with my husband, and took a girls weekend to Nashville for the CMA fest. It all was a blast!

-1.a certain little boy finally became potty trained and learned to ride a bike-not small for a premie who had major motor issues and 2.my husband and I got away for a few days by ourselves first time since having kids!

I have the say the best thing that happened is realizing that nothing bad happened and that I have a wonderful healthy family. My husband and I also built our forever home and I now love following your blog to get new ideas for decor.

ReplyDeleteFor our family, the best thing in 2009 was by far, the birth of our son. We feel so blessed to have him in our lives. Although there were many other challenges in our lives in the past year, mostly financial, it is such a blessing to look into the eyes of our sweet baby boy and just know that everything will be ok.

ReplyDeleteI already follow you, so I will let you know what good things happened to me in 2009- I got a teaching job and started to feel like a real grown up after having been in college for 8 years getting two degrees and a teaching certificate. Another awesome thing was going to visit a friend a few states away that just recently got engaged to her boyfriend of almost 4 years. Those were just two of the best things of 2009 for me :)
